Burton writes" From days immemorial the Queen of Weapons, a creator as well as a destroyer, carved out history, formed the nations, and shaped the world" The history of the sword from its birth to it progression, geographically and chronologically. Burton had planned at least one other volume maybe two to follow but left behind only his manuscripts. Bound in gray pictorial cloth depicting crossed swords and decorations in brown - Spine expertly rebound in brown leather with gilt titles, new marbled endpapers, virtually no foxing throughout, overall VG - Scarce, especially in this condition. $NZ1200
