The expedition wintered in Grinnell Land making dog sledge journeys around Ellesmere Land and across to the Etah district of NW Greenland, Eddie (later, Lord) Shackleton, Ernest Shackleton's son told me that he only agreed to write this book as he needed the publisher's advance so he could go skiing in The Alps. It is a finely crafted account in the style produced by the numerous British Greenland expeditions in the 20/30s - Not common Ex libris Alan Stevens, $120
